Graduation Caps

Mt. Olivet & North Carolina A&T Theatre Scholarship Program

A grant or payment made to support a student’s education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement.

Mt. Olivet African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church has had a long history of educating the spiritual leaders of the future. Under the guidance of Dr. Walter L. Yates who was the Dean of Hood Theological Seminary many your theology students did their trail sermon at Mt. Olivet. Many of them went on to minister their own churches and even become bishops. Other educational programs have included an educational health ministry, healthy living ministry that features a community garden, children’s church, college study sessions.

As you can see supporting the education of young people and life-long learners is a core value of Mt. Olivet. We are excited about you becoming a partner in furthering this value. When you and your organization decide to buy a ticket or group tickets to productions performed by North Carolina A&T State Universities National Award Winning Theatre Arts Program a portion of your money will go to the programs scholarship fund. Investing in the future of these young artists is another one our major outreach programs and sowing a seed into their lives is truly rewarding.

So we invite you to join us for an exciting night of theatre, fellowship and scholarship.
